Project 52 --- Week 12. New logos for Rosborough Photography and Fight Club shoot!

I had the chance to shoot with the PDX Strobist Group here in Portland, OR. I go to as many events as possible and this was a fun one for sure. The idea is to learn and share "off camera flash" techniques and to collaborate with other photographers/models. This shoots theme was Fight Club! Here are some of my favorites.

This week I want to show off my new logo's. Every since I started the business I've been feeling my branding needed some improvement. Well this week I took a leap in the right direction with some new logos for Rosborough Photography. I wanted them simple, elegant, clean, and unique. I am pleased to show them now.

Project 52 --- Week 11. Computer died but I'm back up and running

Had my motherboard go out on my main computer and I was lost this week. I didn't shoot much because of it but did some family stuff as we took some new adventures. Jolene got her first tub with big brother and we went down to the Portland Saturday Market and enjoyed the cherry blossoms on the waterfront. Nothing exciting or new this week but there should be some fun stuff for next week.

This was a fun one on the water front. The quote on the rock is.

With new hope
We build new lives
Why complain when it rains?
This is what it means to be free

Project 52 --- Week 9 and 10. Alright so I missed a week!

Well it was bound to happen and I didn't even make it to ten weeks! I missed a week of my blog posting. Well do to all the complaints via email, phone, and fax ;) I guess I resume my blogging. I got so busy with the B&W Sale that ended in February that I didn't have time to post last week. This week is just some random stuff and a few of my favorites from the sale. The weather is starting to turn and it's a great time for Spring family portraits. Give me a call and we'll make some amazing memories for you and your families. Enjoy.

Sara and Harley. I just love this image.

Shhh don't tell my Mum! This is going to be her birthday present on the 21st. Good thing I know she doesn't read my blog :( This is all her grandchildren.

One of my favorites from the B&W Sale. Noah was such a good boy for his folks.

I took some pictures of my neighbors Ford and had a nice metal print made for him. Sweet car!

My little girl got her bouncy chair all set up and boy was she happy!

Project 52 --- Week 8 Speakeasy Model Shoot.

This week I had the opportunity to shoot with the PDX Strobist Group up in Washougal, WA. This is a great group of photographers who usually spend a day a month shooting with models for the purpose of learning of camera flash. This month we were working with the Speakeasy Models. We had an outstanding day of sharing and photography fun. Here are some of my early favorites from the shoot.

Project 52 --- Week 7 We lose a great friend.

Well I didn't take many pictures this week. Instead we said good bye to our wonderful chocolate lab Boomer. He was just a month shy of thirteen years old. My wife Bethany and I got him as a pup three years out of high school and he was our best buddy. He was with us through the most crazy parts of our lives and brought laughter, joy, and loyalty to our lives. This weeks blog is not about great images. It's about those that touch me the most.

RIP Boomer --- We love you!

Last picture of boomer ever taken.

Project 52 --- Week 6 Michael's first day of preschool

Michael had a great first week at preschool. He graced me with one or two shots with his Lightning McQueen school bag before heading to his first day. The teachers and kids welcomed our little boy with open arms.

Then we had some fun outside hitting some baseballs. Michael spent most of last summer out with his bat and ball. He's so excited to get out and play.

another fun one.

Little miss Jolene is getting so big so fast. Shes got enough strength to rock the Bumbo! Kids in Bumbos never get old.

Project 52 --- Week 5 Timer'd family portraits.

Well Michael starts a new preschool next week and we need to bring in a framed family portrait. Oh man, as a photographer I've got hundreds laying around, right? Wrong. It's not often I'm excited to get in front of a camera and we have been holding off having someone else take our family portrait until little miss Jolene gets a little older.

So we set up the studio. Took some test shots the night before and then got them done today. The old fashioned family way. I set the timer and ran to get everyone in place before the lights fired!! Pretty good for two little ones. We'll ok they're not very good but it will work. Really wish I could have trained the dogs to keep Jolene's eyes towards the camera :)

Set up shots.
